Today, Mayor Antoni Szlagor signed the contract for financing the project entitled "SMART ŻYWIEC - (r)evolution" co-financed by the EEA Financial Mechanism for 2014-2021.

The total co-financing in the amount of PLN 15,331,864.51 is 100% of the total cost of the project, which will be implemented until April 30, 2024. The implementation of the project is a huge challenge for the City of Żywiec. It is also a great opportunity for development. The project consists of a series of projects that cannot be listed. The implementation is planned, inter alia, construction of a pedestrian and bicycle bridge on the Sola River (the so-called Cypel), construction of bicycle paths along the Soła and Koszarawa rivers along with small architecture, as well as the implementation of a recreational and sports activities program, the SMART TRASH system (signaling the level of filling waste bins) and a program Green Żywiec. There will also be activities supporting social integration. Planned, among others. a cyclical competition for the prettiest garden, the action of creating social murals and jointly planting vegetation that absorbs pollutants with the inhabitants. These are just some of the projects planned for implementation. We will inform about the effects and activities carried out via social channels and on the website of the City of Żywiec.
